The Navajo is the largest Indian Tribe in America and is governed by a council consisting of 74 members representing the 96 chapters which make up the reservation. The reservation was established in 1868 and encompasses 13,989,222 acres located in northeast Arizona, northwest new Mexico and southeast Utah. |
