Robert has been a life long resident of Maryland and still resides on the
farm where he was born and raised. His entire life has revolved around
the outdoors, and has instilled a respect for the land and wildlife.
He
was a professional taxidermist for several years before his taxidermy
business gave way to wildlife art.
He initially gained recognition as a wildlife artist after placing 2nd
in the 1983 Federal Duck Stamp Contest. Before winning the Federal Duck
Stamp Contest in 2009, he won three Maryland Duck Stamp Contests (1994,
2003, and 2008).
Robert works in various mediums, but his preferred mediums are oils and
watercolors. His subjects vary from wildlife, landscapes and still lifes.
